ECOMED 2026: Cesaro Mac Import at the heart of sustainability in the Mediterranean
The 18th edition of ECOMED 2026 has successfully come to an end with record-breaking numbers, confirming its role as one of the leading events for sustainability, circular economy and environmental innovation in Southern Europe.
With more than 14,400 visitors and a 15% increase compared to the previous edition, the exhibition once again turned Sicily into a strategic meeting point for institutions, research organizations, industries and environmental technologies focused on the ecological transition.
Cesaro Mac Import also took part in this important event, bringing to Catania its vision as a technological partner for the recycling and material recovery industry, together with the solutions of its leading international brands.
During the three-day exhibition, the Cesaro stand welcomed operators, companies and professionals interested in technologies dedicated to waste management, material treatment, environmental impact reduction and the development of increasingly efficient and sustainable plants.
Strong interest was also generated by the technologies presented by Cesaro’s international partners, especially solutions for shredding, material processing and industrial material handling — technologies that are becoming increasingly important in modern recycling processes and circular economy systems.
ECOMED 2026 was not simply a trade fair, but a permanent platform for discussion about the environmental future of the Mediterranean region. From energy and water management topics to the presentation of Sicily’s new €1.5 billion Waste Management Plan approved by the European Union, the event highlighted the strategic role of Southern Italy in the development of sustainable infrastructures and projects connected to the PNRR and the South 2030 Plan.
