In water-based separation processes such as the sink-float separation (HDS, WT 250) or washing trommel (WB), surface contaminations like sand and silt are carried over into the water. In order to use the process water as long as possible these adhesions / impurities must be removed. The process water flows into the first chamber, where chemical agents can be added. In the second chamber other liquid or aqueous agents can be injected. A pressure line serves the purpose of injecting CO2 in order to lower the pH if necessary. Subsequently, the water is passed into the lamella clarifier where the suspended particles, which are now flocculated, can settle down. The lamella inserts reduce settling time by shortening the settling distance of the sediment and enlarging the settling area. The clear water can then be used again for the washing or separation process. The resulting sludge is usually a by-product to be disposed of.compact container design

Applications

This water treatment is carried out in the form of a modular system, which can be put into operation quickly and has a small foot print.
